Near to the inlet of the lake, the trail splits off from Alice Lake - Redfish Lake Trail #092 to skirt the north side of the lake. If the water level is low, late summer, you can hike out onto what was an island in spring. Slightly longer and rougher than the southern route, this option is sure to be worth it.
