Loop
The Overlook Loop Trail is a short loop around the top of the northern bluff. It passes through the scenic overlook area for the Mississippi River and Lock and Dam 14. A short section of wide trail is shared with the hike-only overlook stairway trail just west of the overlook area.
There are a few fun descents and short climbs along this section with a few tight squeezes in between. Stop at the overlook and check out the great views of the river valley. If you can time it right, sunsets are particularly good here.
