Palisades Loop

This route follows a dirt path and stone steps through the river bluff and woods;in can be heavily trafficked near the parking area. In the early spring, trails can be very muddy.Driving all the way in to the park, park along the river and find the trailhead at the north end. Take Cedar Cliff Trail north to the park boundary, turn around and come back until you reach the split to follow Cool Hollow Trail. You'll cross two park roads, and can opt to follow a loop on this trail, then head south on Woodland Trail. Follow Overlook Trail along the river north back to the parking area.

Palisades-Kepler features several old stone structures, and overlooks river bluffs popular for their fall foliage and bird-watching. Boat ramps, swimming, camping and cabins are also available.
