Description
This cross-country route heads up the alluvial fan of Willow Canyon through an exposed wide wash. The route to the canyon offers open views of the valley floor and the lowest point in the US. Once inside Willow Canyon, you'll find a seasonal desert oasis complete with a spring and waterfall. If your primary goal is to see the spring, check with the rangers prior to going, as the spring doesn't flow year round. After about 0.2 miles of navigating in the canyon, you'll reach a 20 foot waterfall. Unless you are a skilled climber, this will be your turnaround point.
