Description
There is not much to this trail. Yet, it is as memorable as any other trail in the park. The trail can be accessed from several trails: Chestnut Path, Laurel Trail, Cabin Trail, Bridle Path, Waterfall Connector, or the Butterfly Fields. The trail begins by passing a stone structure missing a roof and much of its walls, with grass and vegetation growing all around it. Once past the house, the trail makes a very steep dip to a stream bed. There are small trees to grasp as you descend, but hikers should take care not to rely too heavily on them as this could potentially damage the trees. A long stretch of stone steps follows, which take you back up the hill, maybe 50 feet, before the trail connects with Chestnut Path and the Butterfly Fields trail system.
