This trail is available for hiking in the winter as an alternative to the Main Loop Trail. Because the Main Loop is only open to cross-country skiing in the winter, this can be a pleasant place to enjoy getting out. Even though this trail is a bit shorter, you can still enjoy the gently rolling terrain.
