Mississippi Loop: Lake St and Franklin Ave Bridges

Catch good views of the Mississippi between the trees in summer time. From the bridges there are spectacular views of fall tree colors along the river. Occasional wild sightings include bald-eagles year round. Free street parking is easy to find along most of the route and there's also a couple small free parking lots on the west side. Additional official and unofficial dirt and paved trails exist closer to the river that make most of the loop as well, but it can be difficult to get back up to the bridges for river crossing.
