The trail circumnavigates the strip of land between Julington and Durbin creeks but the creeks are never in view on this particular route. Most of the trail is hard-packed sand or grass covered. The trail is extremely easy as there are no roots, rocks, or elevation changes. Most of the trail is shaded but there are short sections with no trees. This featured hike follows sections of the White Blaze Trail and Yellow Trail, each of which is marked by painted blazes on the trees lining the trail. There is an option to shorten the hike to 3 miles by staying on the White Blaze Trail rather than continuing onto the Yellow Trail around mile 1.5.
