This is multi-use trail so be mindful of hikers and bikers. Horses and motorized vehicles not allowed. Entrances are gated. The trail is closed when wet, muddy, snowy or icy.

The Red Trail offers a great mixture of smooth travel and some climbing. Its difficulty level isn't high, but it will test your fitness. Overall, this is a wonderful trail through the wilds of suburbia with lots to see and enjoy. This particular trail is a fantastic option in the suburbs of Kansas City. When you can't travel too far from home, it's a great place to enjoy the nature and a challenge.
