Indian Creek Trail: Roe Park to Corporate Woods

This 4.8 mile section of the Indian Creek Trail traverses across town from Roe Park to Corporate Woods Park within Overland Park, Kansas. Indian Creek Trail is a shaded concrete greenway path that is enclosed in a forested area and follows the flowing water of Indian Creek. This path is popular amongst hikers, runners, and road cyclists. The terrain is wide and smooth and accessible for most wheelchairs, scooters and strollers. On the Indian Creek Trail pedestrians have the right of way! This family friendly path passes by several playgrounds and picnic areas and there are several side trails with easy creek access along the way.Parking is available at the start and finish and the path can be accessed at several points along the way. This path allows locals and visitors an opportunity to explore and travel the area by foot. The greenway provides an alternative mode of transportation for those who wish not to rely on freeways. Visitors on this path will be treated to lush green plants, wildflowers, and beautiful fall foliage (season depending). Trash and potable water are plentiful along the route and dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash. Tha trail can be extended in either direction for those who seek a longer trip. The route (and mileage) described here is point-to-point and would require a shuttle.
