Monroe Run Hiking Trail

This trail starts at a parking lot on either end: on New Germany Road or Big Run Road. Starting from Big Run Road (39.54905, -79.14520), work your way along Monroe Run, making several creek crossings. The trail visibility is poor at some sections, so pay attention and continue to generally follow the creek bed for the first 3 miles. The creek passes by some old embankments from CCC bridges, but the trail is fairly rugged for an old road cut. During the last mile, cut uphill on the right bank and switchback up to the parking lot on New Germany Road (39.57078, -79.20172)
