West Beach Trail

Start the West Beach Trail at the base of Stearns Wharf and then head up shore along the wide and sandy beach parallel to W. Cabrillo Blvd. This beach section ends when you come across the Santa Barbara Harbor, at which point you can follow the marina. Then be sure to turn left at the breakwater so that you continue to hike along the harbor. At this point you'll pass the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum and the old U.S. Naval Reserve complex. You can then take a right turn at the Santa Barbara yacht Club in order to hike along Leadbetter Beach before eventually completing the trail at Shoreline Park.
