The Stillwater Loop Trail is marked with blue discs and can be accessed by hiking about one mile along the Roaring Brook Trail. The first access to the Stillwater Loop Trail shares the same path as the Pasture Loop Trail for about a half mile. After that, the Stillwater Loop Trail turns right and circles Stillwater Pond, coming very close to the Taconic Parkway. Expect noise from the passing cars on the highway. When you get to the southern end of Stillwater Pond, you can hardly hear the traffic. The trail circles back to the Roaring Brook Trail.
To complete a loop, turn right and follow the Roaring Brook Trail for a half mile back to where you started the Stillwater Loop Trail.
