Description
For many of Blue Mound State Park's singletrack trail routes, this trail must often be traversed as many trails break off of it. This is especially true for hikers starting at the parking lot near the swimming pool. Overall, this is a fairly flat route, but there are a couple of technical areas where small streams are crossed, which are often rocky, but otherwise, like the trail's title suggests, it's pretty smooth sailing. Overall, most of this section is heavily forested, so there are not a lot of scenic views comparable to those seen at the top of Blue Mound State Park, but it's still very pretty.
