Description
The Fourmile Trail is unique along with a few others in that it connects to a high divide providing exit access to a drainage opposite that allows for a big mileage link up to the East Fork Mill Creek trail and the treasures beyond. From the Boulder Road, leave your vehicle and begin to gain elevation in a mellow fashion. The trail becomes harder and you climb toward the hydrologic divide. Multiple trails exit the main trail and provide excellent dispersal action for visitors wishing to gain solitude. Camping at Silver Lake or the alpine lakes under Boulder Mountain make for a great getaway. Or explore further to the south where the hunting options grow and the level of aloneness do as well.
