Description
Take a left at fork off of Lake Clarice to get up to Marmot Lake. Trail cuts through forest and quickly brings you to large Marmot Lake, a great backpacking spot itself with lots of fish. Continue on rolling trail along lake shore to south end of Marmot Lake. There trail becomes very steep. Follow trail labeled with carins as it switchbacks up scree field, eventually topping out by path to No Name lake. Continue past to Jade Lake, a true gem and popular backpacking spot. The truly adventurous can continue up the glacier to Pea Soup lake beyond, or just sit and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of lake with mountain and glacier behind it.
