Description
The "Cabe" of Cabe Lands refers to Barnaby Cabe who owned the land from before the American Revolution. From the parking lot, head downhill to soon pass the Eno Quarry Trail to your left. Continue down, and you'll come to another trail crossing to your right with the Laurel Bluff Trail (Central). Stay left, and you'll pass a mound to the right, which is all that remains of the old homestead (look for daffodils in the spring). Once you close in on the Eno River, you'll find the remnants of the old Cabe Mill. Move along the river until the trail heads uphill and ends at the Eno Quarry Trail.
