Description
This part of the Brumley Nature Preserve and the nearby southern loop was a very generous gift from the Brumley family. Both sections are in Orange County, very close to Durham County and the Eno Fire Department. The Brumley family purchased this tract of land, which was scheduled to be a housing development. After a very tragic accident with several Brumley members, along with George and Julia Brumley's passing, the Zeist Foundation sold the property to the Triangle Land Conservancy. Both sections of this preserve opened to the public in 2017.
