Description
This easy hiking route begins at the end of Sylvanus Wood Ln in Woburn and traces a relaxed path through the forests and fields of Mary Cummings Park, right along the Burlington–Woburn border. Start on the Sylvanus Wood Trail and turn right onto Whispering Hill Loop. Continue through shaded woods and open meadows before turning right on Central Field Trail. Stay on this path as it becomes Tunnel Trail, then turn left onto Pollinator Trail for a short stretch before another left onto the MilliporeSigma Science & Nature Trail. From there, turn left on Pipeline Trail, then left again on Quail Run to return to the starting point. Several connecting trails allow for shorter loops if desired. Alternate trailheads are available off Cambridge Rd. and Blanchard Rd. Expect a few gentle climbs along the way, and be prepared for muddy sections in spring or bugs in summer. This is a quiet, year-round route for walking, hiking, or trail running with leashed dogs permitted.
