There and Back
Starting from the Bald Mountain Trailhead winter parking lot, begin hiking on the mountain dirt road for a half mile up to and past the 4WD lot. At 1.4 miles, look for the Iowa Mill, built in 1935. At 1.6 miles, there is a great view of Breckenridge Ski Area. At 3.55 miles, the trail narrows, continuing along the mountain ridge. At ~5.3 miles, I was on the rocky and exposed summit of Bald Mt. with views of Mt. Guyot and the neighboring peaks. When you've had your fill, head back the way you came.
