Description
Travel along the Scenic Gorge Trail for an adventure through diverse forest ecosystems and beautiful water features. Starting at the junction with the Ridgeline Trail, traverse the hillside through mixed hardwood and eastern hemlock forests for .4 miles before reaching a junction with the Ridgeline Trail. Continue right along the Ridgeline Trail, following red blazes at the next fork to continue on the Scenic Gorge Trail. Take in the vast forests around you, keeping your eyes peeled for signs of vernal pools or seasonal wetlands. Upon reaching the end of the trail, you have the option of returning the way you came or continuing on the Ridgeline Trail for an extended route back to the Pocono Environmental Education Center.
