Starting from the southwest corner of the Pocono Environmental Education Center parking area, follow signage to the Two Ponds Trail. From the trailhead, you'll wander through mixed hardwood and pine forests flush with white oak, red maple, and shagbark hickory. The northern pond, Front Pond, is the smaller of the two ponds that you'll hike past first, followed by Pickerel Pond which is slightly larger and is located along the southern half of the loop.Upon reaching the two ponds along the route, keep your eyes peeled for signs of fuzzy yellow goslings being shepherded by their parents along the water's edge. Needless to say, bringing your camera along in anticipation of this adorable sight is highly recommended! Near its end, the Two Ponds Trail forms a T-intersection with the Tumbling Waters Trail. Take a right on this trail to complete your loop of the two ponds. The Tumbling Waters Trail is orange-blazed and will continue through the same type of forested landscape. Eventually, the trail will come to a raised boardwalk that skirts along the edge of the shrubbery-laden wetlands along Front Pond before popping out by the parking lot where you started.
