Decker's Creek Trail

The trail begins near the heart of Morgantown and Hazel Ruby McQuain Riverfront Park. The well maintained asphalt and crushed stone path runs alongside Decker's Creek which provides beautiful views and peaceful sounds especially as the hiker encounters the more remote areas east of the city. The eastbound visitor will enjoy a gradual ascent of just over a thousand feet throughout the nearly 20 mile route. There are several areas to access and appreciate this trail in smaller sections as it seems it was intended.
