Description
From the entrance (at Pine Glen Campground), the trail follows Forest Service Road 500 and turns right. It parallels Shoal Creek (for a ways), then turns right (towards Sweetwater Lake). It follows the western edge of Sweetwater Lake, then crosses over a creek (right before reaching Laurel Shelter). The trail passes through a somewhat open Pine forest and a series of small streams. It crosses over Forest Service Road 553, then reaches the Shoal Creek Church Spur (in a short distance). The trail winds its way up to the south shores of Coleman Lake, then turns left. It winds its way along the western shore, then turns left again. The trail passes by a small connector (to the Campground), then winds its way all the way up to Choccolocco Dam. It continues traveling until it reaches Pink E. Burns Trailhead, at Rabbittown Road.
