Description
This is a quick out-and-back trail that consists of sand and black dirt which, after a lot of rain, becomes slick. The trail is wide and nearly completely shaded. There are several creek crossings within the first mile and a half of trail. Once you cross the last bridge, offering the best overlook at approximately a mile and half in. After this, you enter the back half of the trail which eventually loops around and back out the way you came. The back loop offers the steepest incline on the trail and a look into old farmland. Since this portion of the trail isn't heavily travelled you're likely to encounter some critters on the trail or mild overgrowth. There are several areas to rest on the trail if needed. This is a great trail for a beginner and offers an escape from the monotony of cattle in the area.
