Mud Lake Loop

Elm Creek Park Reserve is an incredible resource for everyone in the Twin Cities area. The Mud Lake Loop does a great job of showcasing the opportunities that this park provides. The trail will take you past the man-made swimming pond, disc golf course, and the historic Pierre Bottineau House. With these attractions in mind, make sure you bring a swim suit and anything else you need to take full advantage of this trail! This well laid out loop will also give you the choice to add distance to your hike. As you get close to the bodies of water along this trail, keep an eye for the variety of bird species that live in the park. If you are lucky you might see a beaver building its home!
