Description
The Tahoe Keys Trail is an easy stroll that takes visitors to the beautiful Tahoe Keys Beach. The trail begins at the end of Venice Drive, where street parking is available. The trail meanders through the Cove East area -- a California Tahoe Conservancy restoration project. Please stay on the trail to help protect the area. The wide, flat trail passes by the Upper Truckee River on its way to Keys Beach. The scenery is quite beautiful for such an easy hike. On the left side of the trail you'll be able to see some of the homes that are located on the Keys, backdropped against some impressive peaks. The trail ends at the sandy beach, a great place to sit on a log and enjoy the wonderful Lake Tahoe Views. As of April 2021 there is construction in the area that prevents hikers from walking the small loop found at the end of the Tahoe Keys Trail. This is no big deal however, just retrace your steps back to your vehicle after you've enjoyed your time at the beach.
