Park at the Henry Road access area to begin this hike. Follow the Hoyt Lookout Trail through the field (be sure to respect the surrounding property and stay on the trail. After about a tenth of a mile the trail enters the woods and slowly climbs the southern edits of the mountain. About a half mile in you'll reach the junction with Wildflower Trail. If you're looking for a bit more milage you can add this loop on to your hike.Otherwise, continue up the hill all the way to the end of Hoyt Lookout Trail. Here, you'll reach Hoyt Lookout, which offers amazing views of Lake Champlain. It's even more beautiful in the autumn when the leaves have changed colors. From the lookout, head back to reach Mountaintop Trail which you'll follow only a short distance to Summit Trail. Summit trail tags the actual summit of Eagle Mountain. Continue on, rejoining the Mountaintop Trail and then Hoyt Lookout Trail back to the parking area.
