The Ridgeline Trail begins at a small parking pullout on Westford Road, just east of Milton, VT. From the trailhead, the route climbs steadily through mixed hardwood forest, gaining elevation over a series of rocky pitches and short switchbacks. After a brief traverse along the slope, the trail reaches the ridgeline, where several open sections offer views toward Milton Pond and the Lamoille River Valley. Continue following the marked route along the ridge until the trail ends near a natural overlook, then retrace your steps back to the trailhead.
Expect moderately steep grades, uneven footing, and some rocky sections—especially in wetter months. Wildlife sightings are possible throughout the trail, particularly early or late in the day. This route is best used from late spring through fall, though it remains open year-round. Watch for ticks and slippery rocks after rain.
