Description
This trail has it's own parking area behind the Peavy Lodge, but can be accessed by hiking along the road from other trails too. Like the much longer Forest Discovery Trail, this trail passes through forest managed for mature trees and native PNW species. Interpretative signs along the way offer plenty of educational material about the forest. About mid-way along the trail look for a very short spur trail leading to an old pull-up bar installed in the 1930s when the area was a CCC camp.
