Point to Point
This is a great trail if you're looking to get away from the crowds. Despite being called the Consolation Lakes, they are incredibly stunning!
The beginning of the trail goes through a large field of boulders; however, there is a clear path, and it is easy enough to get through! After you get past the field of boulders, the rest is a easy (slightly uphill) hike through the forest. The trail follows Babel Creek, and it is well maintained with minimal obstacles--roots mostly.
Once you get to the end of the trail, there is an opening, and you'll see the Consolation Lakes right in front of you. Since it had been snowing during the time I was there (June), the path to get to the water front was extremely muddy! If muddy, you could use the boulders on the righthand side instead.
Once you get past the mud and really take in the area, you'll see just how stunning the lake is. To your right, the Tower of Babel stands tall, and there are beautiful glaciers around the lake. The hike back is fairly easy and does not take much time.
