The blue-blazed Ravine Trail (part of the Buckeye Trail) starts from the parking area down the small side road that cuts off from the main lodge road a few hundred yards east of the lodge itself. The trail begins by heading up out of the parking lot and then traces the outline of the lake weaving up and down and in and out of the ravines with the lake on your right and visible through the trees. Eventually, the trail spits out at Dock #2; another paved parking area.
You can continue across the parking area and continue on the neon-green blazed Bobcat Trail Marathon route or return the way you came. In addition to being part of the Bobcat Trail Marathon, the Ravine Trail is also part of the 1,444 mile loop trail around the state of Ohio known as the Buckeye Trail as well as part of the roughly 4,600 mile North Country Trail which winds its way from North Dakota to New York.
