At the trail junction with the Lower Chimney Rock Trail and the Upper Chimney Rock Trail is the trail to the summit of Little Sugarloaf Mountain - a small but prominent mountain on the edge of Sedona. The trail is short but very steep to the summit. There is a wood sign marking the way, however, this trail is not on maps and not maintained by the park service. Follow the path of least resistance. The trail is obvious but there are several trails up, which is more noticeable on the descent. The summit is flat slickrock with a 360-degree open view. You can see all of Sedona and it makes a great place to watch the sunset.
