Trail is steep, but walkable.

In spring, this is a decent trail. Zero shade. Lots of ups and downs & nice views of Sedona. It would be sweltering in summer.

Description
This loop starts at the !Andante Trailhead at the end of !Andante Road in Sedona. From the parking area, turn left (west) onto the Andante Trail and follow it for a short distance until the trail ends on the Thunder Mountain Trail. Turn left and follow this trail until you reach a trail junction with the Lower Chimney Rock Trail. Turn right and follow it a short distance to the junction with the Chimney Rock Trail and the trail to Little Sugarloaf Summit. If you're up for it, take this side trail to the summit of Little Sugarloaf, which is a small but prominent mountain on the edge of Sedona. The trail to the summit is short but very steep. There is a wooden sign marking the way, however the trail is not well maintained by the park service, so follow the path of least resistance. While the trail is obvious, there are actually multiple tracks up the same trail, which is more notable on the descent. Upon cresting the hill, you'll encounter the summit's flat slickrock with 360-degree open views. You can see all of Sedona from up here, and it's a great place to watch the sunset. Back down at the previous junction, follow the Chimney Rock Trail as it circles around Chimney Rock. The trail has a few steep sections, but they are not very long. The trail ends back on the Thunder Mountain Trail where you'll turn right (south) to return to Andante and the parking area.Overall, this is an enjoyable hike with easy access from Sedona. The trail is well maintained and easy to follow.
