Point to Point
The Julieann Trail starts near the mid-mountain parking area and traverses beneath nearby Bonnie and Clyde's. Early on, it appears very casual as it curves through the forest at the edge of a slope. Pretty soon, though, the trail heads into rolling terrain to scamper up and down various shallow ravines.
Hikers will either find these frequent dips and climbs to be engaging or bothersome. If you decide all the undulation isn't for you, there are two steep connectors on the second half that lead to Bonnie and Clyde's. Otherwise, settle in to enjoy this unique trail. There are a few short challenging sections where the trail footing is loose or densely packed with rocks.
Look for an old, rusted safe hiding in the woods near the end of the trail. This hapless passenger rode down the mountain many years ago in an even more dilapidated car that sits above Bonnie and Clyde's.
Julieann Trail comes to an end at the West Loop just before it meets Bonnie and Clyde's and Fred's Trail.
