This hike is easy to begin, but the trail quickly comes to its incline. Once the climbing starts, there are a few flat areas, but not many until you get to the top. Hiking the Darvill Trail provides a good incline, which gets you warmed up for Up Quick. This shorter trail is also very beautiful but has a few steep areas. Next, you'll continue making your way up to the Ridge Trail which is a leg burner but is worth the effort. Be sure to slow down to admire the the lookouts on the way, as the views are lovely! From here, you'll begin your descent by taking first Fred's Trail then the West Loop. At the end of the West Loop, you'll have made your way back to the Darvill Trail, which leads back to the parking lot.
