Either trailhead requires a $5 parking fee or a recreation pass, so be mindful of that.
Path Type
Point to Point
This trail runs from the Bottle Prairie Trailhead in the south to the Knebal Springs Campground trailhead in the north. You can hike this trail in either direction. Because the trail is a little less technical than its sister trail, Knebal Springs Trail #474, it might be favorable to hike down this one if combining the trails for a loop.
Be sure to stop at Perry Point at the top of the initial climb to get in some good views of Central Oregon before you start the descent to the bottom.
Towards the bottom of this trail, the trail drops sharply into a creek crossing. This signals you're almost to the Knebal Springs Campground.
The trail crosses several forest roads, but the trail is also signed extremely well with new, easy-to-follow signs so it's hard to get lost.
