From the parking area, expect a trailhead that veers into the woods then splits. Travelers can go right or left as the trail is a loop and will bring you back to this location. When following the trail to the left at this split, expect a stretch through woods that opens into large rock formations. Here you'll see the "Keyhole" and "Terrapin," both of which are lovely and amazing areas. Continue on down the stairs and the trail will take you to Pickle Creek and eventually Pickle Springs. The rolling trail will eventually begin to curve back around to the trailhead. The way is rolling, so you'll experience a bit of elevation change on the way out and on the way back. The grade is quite gentle though. Along the way, be sure to stop at the bluffs and enjoy the view.
