Haystack Mountain via Jackrabbit Ski and North Haystack Trails

The Jackrabbit portion is wide with evidence of ATV travel. There are many muddy areas to deal with after a rain. At 1.9 miles, there is a cross trail. Turning right takes you to McKenzie Mountain. Turning to the left takes you to the marked North Haystack Trail to the peak of Haystack Mountain. Stay on the Jackrabbit Ski Trail for about 0.4 miles. Keep an eye out for a moderately traveled trail to the left. There was a stack of several rocks marking the trail when I was there. The trail is narrow and unmarked, but easy to follow. It is much easier than the marked trail on the south side of the mountain.
