This short spur leaves from the Coldwater - Lake George Trail above Lake Barrett to climb a low ridge and find an excellent viewpoint. Directly across TJ Lake, the sheer granite face of Crystal Crag rises proudly to its pointed summit. The trail leads down to the shore of the lake, and a well-worn fisherman's trail heads off southbound along the east shore.
