Description
The Mail Cabin Trail is a good option to connect to other trails in the area. It's easily access from the Mail Cabin trailhead, where the trail takes hikers along the river bottom to a newly constructed set of switchbacks. At the top it puts you up high looking into the Upper Palisades basin. The upper portion of the trail has a new trail cut that can be easily seen from the creek bottom. Expect lots of wildflowers, wildlife, and scenery. The trail is popular with livestock and bikers, so be prepared for those conditions.
