Point to Point
Starting from right in front of the Lake Louise Lodge, the Lake Agnes trail splits with the Lakeshore Trail to start climbing the thickly wooded hillside on the northwestern side of the lake. The trail gently ascends to the southwest for slightly more than one mile. Then the trail switches back to the northeast to continue gently climbing.
At about a mile and a half the trail turns northwest to and will climb to Mirror Lake. This is a pleasant lake at the base of the Beehive rock formation. To the southwest you'll see the Highline Trail which will take you to the Plain of Six Glaciers Tea House. Stay to the northeastern side of the lake and follow the trail around and to the northwest up a somewhat steeper section to the Lake Agnes Tea House and Lake.
