The Rough Canyon Trail begins at the Robbers Cave parking lot and leads to Rough Canyon. If the trail is followed clockwise, the trails split with the Cattail Pond Loop heading north and west, and the Rough Canyon Trail heads back east to pass by Lost Lake, which is a backcountry camping site. Additionally, Rough Canyon Creek allows hikers to also access the Mountain Trail in the southwest corner.
