Discovery Trail

Discovery trail starts off of the Big Cove Turnpike and runs to the Trough Springs Trail. The trail starts with rocky incline up to the Rock Bluff Trail. This is a very under-used section of trail, so the path forward can be tricky in places. When it reaches the Rock Bluff Trail things flatten out and it shares a path until the Burritt hikers parking lot. From there, it descends towards Monte Sano Blvd. Like the start, this section is steep and under-utilized. When you reach Monte Sano Blvd., you must look across the road for a white vinyl space shuttle trail marker to see where the trail continues on the other side. After crossing the street, the trail heads down further until it finally reaches Trough Springs.
