Terrace Trail

Leaving the parking lot, you'll see what is called the North Overlook. Descend to the beginning of the trail via the steps to the back of the overlook. Descend and keep left at the fork (right will take you to Eagles Trail which leads to the river). Now you'll stick to the terrace below the mounds for the rest of the trail. Take in the views (winter is best) of the river valley and try to keep your feet dry the rest of the year. The Boy Scouts have done a great job of constructing platforms over the most soggy spots, and there are many interpretive signs along the way that describe plants and features of this Pre-Historic site. Return back via the connector to the parking lot, or continue to the Earthworks Trail.
