Holston Mountain West #2020

This trail is the most feasible way to travel from Lock Ridge Road to the the intersection of Old Dug Road and from there taking Holston West on to the Chestnut Flats Connector. Beginning at Old Dug and Holston West and going west, the trail extends on over past Richardson Branch and Davis Branch and from there on down to near Big Arm Trail. Last spring the Holston Mountain West trail marker and Old Dug Road trail markers were stolen. National Forest Service was notified, and Old dug marker was replaced but not Holston West marker. Holston West from Old Dug all the way past Davis Branch has much large deadfall and needs cleaned. Also the trail is not blazed and seemingly has been forgotten. It would be a tremendous trail if maintained.
