Begin this remote route at a small roadside parking area along Adams Farm Road, south of Peaked Hill Pond. Head west on West Branch Brook trail, a narrow forest path that climbs gradually through dense hardwoods. At the first Y-intersection, continue right to stay on the main trail, as winds through lightly trafficked backcountry terrain. Watch for intermittent stream crossings and uneven footing as the trail gradually ascends before curving west toward the Mud Pond.
Shortly after meeting the Bagley Brook Trail, veer left to approach the Peaked Hill Pond. This section flattens out as it skirts the southern edge of the pond, offering peaceful water views and a good chance to spot wildlife like moose or loons. Past the pond, the route turns south onto Trail 155, heading towards Heath Pond through more secluded woodland terrain. Keep left at the final junction to rejoin West Branch Brook and return to the trailhead.
This quiet network of trails offers a rewarding day hike for those seeking solitude, pond scenery, and a classic White Mountain forest experience.
