Trombatore Trail

This hiking trail is across from Bearwallow Mountain and sometimes overlooked. There is parking available along the sides of the road. The Trombatore Trail will be to your left. The sign at the beginning of the hike doesn't actually have a map of the hike. There is clear signage, but the trail runs close to private property signs at different points. This hike starts you off in an old and already dense section of forest. Fall hikers will find a dense, green, and mossy floor along with the changing foliage: the leaves above will be a mix of reds, yellows, and browns. You may encounter some dense pockets of fog along this trail that can obstruct your view of the surrounding mountains. The Trombatore Trail will take you on a roller coaster ride down and through the forest where you eventually arrive at a pasture that is part of the trail and also its end.
