Weekapaug Beach

The parking area is just behind the dunes of the shore, so it is convenient. This attracts quite a number of fishermen and during the summer months, it can feel quite festive in the evenings. There is a track for 4x4 vehicles that you can walk. The dominant wind is usually out of the southwest so the dunes and the pines offer protection on windy days. A little past the mid-point, the flora drops off and the dune grass open wide. There is an outcrop of trees again, near the breach way and jetty.
