There is limited (maybe a dozen cars) parking available on Thompson road which affords access to this loop and the Middle, Peaked, Black Cap mountains.
Path Type
Point to Point
This trail starts off North South Road, just south of Locust Lane, and heads east. The trail immediately crosses over some railroad tracks. In the winter, these railroad tracks serve as Corridor #19A. The trail passes a sign for Pudding Pond, crosses over a small footbridge and arrives at Junction 32. Here, you can continue straight or turn right for the loop. Following the loop straight, you'll run into Junction 31; stay right. Next, you'll hit Junction 33; stay right. Stay right at Junction 34. Left at Junction 34, will take you onto Pillar To Pond.
This next stretch, back to Junction 32, offers some decent views of Pudding Pond. Watch your step here as most of the bog bridges are broken.
I would recommend the Green Hills Preserve map and the NEMBA bike trails map for this area. If you're visiting in the winter and planning to use Corridor #19A, I would recommend the Mountain Meadow Riders snowmobile map.
